“All right, ya shield thumpers, this time it gets interesting. The next part of the library we’re getting for the Great Boss is in this manor house. One belonging to Lord Squarefang. The first interesting part is that he’s a sorcerer, trained in the East an’ all. The second interesting part is the librarian he’s got looking over the books. She isn’t just a tender-skinned human woman like the last two times. She’s a princess: One of them slavegirl princesses. The Horse Eater gang carried her off in a loot-raid a few years back, an’ Lord Squarefang bought her off of them.

“So the good news is that she already has a collar - an’ if you don’t think that’s good news, then you’ve never tried to put a collar on a princess for the first time. The bad news is that we’ve got all those curses to get past: The ones laid down by Lord Squarefang against uninvited visitors like us, and then the princess-curse after that. But the Great Boss has figured a way to turn that around. We’ll need the Blue Trunk for the extra gear - an’ you’ll have Ghashgok helping you carry it, Snorkurk - but this time we’ll get to be the ‘heroes’ who ‘rescue’ the princess. That we put her in cuffs and a slave rag will just be a detail, like the way we carry off the books for the Great Boss’s library along with her.

“But that only works if we pull it off without damaging the loot. So it’s the same story as last time, ya shield thumpers: Scorch one book, tear one page, or put one mark on the human wench, an’ I’ll salt you down myself.”
